Abstract : Orthodontic treatment is associated with many adverse effects, such periodontal disease, root resorption, temporomandibular dysfunction .Risk factors linked to root resorption include the length , shape of the root and trauma history. The risk for root resorption increases with the length of treatment. Knowledge of these side effects is essential to the orthodontist
