Biological Tooth Regeneration
Author : Varsha Vasaikar
Abstract : Introduction: Biological tooth regeneration has the potential to transform the management of tooth loss by moving beyond artificial replacement towards the restoration of a living and functional tooth. However, scientific progress alone does not define clinical success. Objective: This research explores the clinical pathway required for the translation of tooth regeneration into practice and identifies the essential characteristics of a clinically successful regenerated tooth. Methodology: The study incorporates the perspectives of dental professionals through a structured survey and examines expert opinion alongside existing regenerative concepts. Results: The study aims to identify how a regenerated tooth should develop, integrate, function, and be evaluated, as well as the challenges that may influence its future implementation. Conclusion: The findings may contribute towards a more comprehensive framework for evaluating functional tooth regeneration in future clinical practice.
