Emblematic Adventure Travel in Colombia

Abstract :Colombia has becoming an important tourism site to visit not only because of the impressive natural landscapes, but also because of the infrastructure developed around emblematic zones. That is the case of the Chicamocha Canon at Santander region with 6.3 km cable car ride, paragliding, and ziplining considered very exciting attractions. Other activities within the region include rafting at Rio Fonce, trekking and climbing at Boquete de la Mojarra with breathtaking views. For explorers, the Indian Cave full of stalactites and stalagmites and a 5 meters’ cascade will make the day. The cords park with hanging bridges and rappel are also available, but for more excitement cascade climbing at Juan Curi will provide not only adventure but also Paramo ecosystem knowledge. For Bogota, Colombian capital tourists’, there are also interesting places to visit at nearby zones where paragliding, cycling and horseback riding characterize the adventure tourism. For the more adventurers: skydiving at Ricaurte is a popular place to go, located at 4 hours from the capital, with hotels and gastronomy that are hardly to resist.
