A Modernidade/colonialidade E Seus Impactos Politicos, Civis, Sociais E Territoriais Desde Criticas Decoloniais

Abstract :This article is the result of collective studies conducted from the curriculum "Decolonial inflections: African epistemologies, afrodiasporic and peasant". The text aims to problematize the political, civil, social and territorial impacts caused by the project of western modernity from as well as questioning the construction of rights and other so-called universal conceptions before the project of society based on coloniality as the logic that prevails to the present day. In addition, it is intended to show that decoloniality produces critical theories from the colonized, which were subordinated by modernity through the coloniality of power, knowledge, being and nature. The methodological option chosen was the qualitative approach. This work is divided into three topics besides the introduction and the final considerations, namely: Western modernity and some of its political, civil, social and territorial impacts; Decoloniality: a counter-hegemonic approach; and Coloniality of knowledge, of power, being and nature. Finally, the importance of decoloniality/resistance in the understanding of the current impacts and challenges imposed by modernity/coloniality.
