Author : Matej Wagner, Miculka Zastavova Trlicikova Fiedor
Abstract : This study examines the relationship between time spent in urban green spaces and subjective well-being. The main aim was to explore whether spending time in urban nature can contribute to improved psychological and overall well-being among city residents. The research was conducted in the summer of 2025 in the city of Olomouc, Czech Republic. Using a questionnaire survey, the frequency and duration of visits to urban green spaces were recorded and compared with respondents’ subjective well-being scores. Preliminary results suggest that regular contact with urban greenery may represent an important factor enhancing residents’ quality of life and mental health. The study contributes to a better understanding of the role of accessible and actively used green spaces in promoting urban well being. Its findings can inform sustainable urban planning and the development of green infrastructure aimed at improving living conditions and reducing stress in urban environments
