Educational and Identity Aspects of Migration: The Case of Croats in Ireland

Abstract :This paper analyzes the emigration of Croatian citizens to Ireland, which intensified after Croatia’s EU accession in 2013 and peaked before 2020. It examines migration dynamics, integration through Ireland’s inclusive educational system, and the transformation of identity among recent Croatian emigrants. Using a mixed-methods approach, the study offers insights into migration trends, integration models, and policy implications for emigration and return migration
