Author : Natalia Borodziuk

Abstract :Recent years have seen the issue of cybersecurity assume a pivotal role in the evolving security policies of European countries. The growing importance of cyberspace as a domain of security is a key illustration of this changing reality. The purpose of the present analysis is to provide an in-depth comparison of the cybersecurity strategies employed by European countries with large economies. The primary focus of the analysis pertains to the structural composition of the system, the strategic priorities that underpin it, and the mechanisms for implementing protective measures. Poland is a country in Europe that is particularly susceptible to cyberattacks. Contrastingly, Italy has witnessed a notable escalation in the frequency of attacks directed at critical infrastructure and public administration. A comparison of the strategies applied by Poland and Italy allows for the determination of the level of vulnerability to digital threats and the identification of factors that differentiate the resilience of both systems. The presentation will also furnish the audience by way of an overview of plans to strengthen cyber resilience in both countries, taking into account technological investments, and European Union regulations. The methodology used in the presentation is comparative analysis, case study, and analysis of strategic documents
