Abstract :The teaching of English has transformed a drastic change in the digital era, beginning from traditional, teacher – centered to learner- centered approaches using technology assisted. This paper explores the accumulation of digital tools in English language teaching (ELT), emphasizing their effects on language proficiency, critical thinking and digital literacy. It relates the contemporary research on digital learning platforms, gamification, virtual class rooms and multimedia resources, verifying their effectiveness in fostering effective communication and learner engagement skills. Challenges and impacts such as the digital divide, teacher preparedness, and assessment complexities are also explained, together with best practices for successful implementation. This paper strengthens the prominence of blending traditional pedagogical strategies with innovative digital methods to prepared learners for global, technology-driven communication contexts
