Author : Arkadiusz DYJAKON, Tomasz NOSZCZYK, Stanislaw MINTA, Christina GALANI, Alessandra TOMASINI, Emmanuel QUERREC

Abstract :The need for education in the area of green soft skills now seems imperative, stemming from the growing challenges related to climate change, the depletion of natural resources, the growing pressure for sustainable development, and the need to reduce energy consumption and protect the natural environment. In this work, the issue of green soft skills, as well as their correlation and impact on the economy from the perspective of teaching in areas such as science, technology, engineering, and mathematics were discussed. It presents examples of activities and selected environmental indicators that can be used in educating students and developing their green competencies, which will then be used not only in their future careers but also in everyday life. The final section shows the strategy for implementing green competencies among educators (including distance education) developed in the international SOFTEN project.
