Abstract :Lebinthina Robillard and Tan, 2021 is one of the three monophyletic subtribes within the Lebinthini Robillard, 2004 tribe characterized by their brachypterous forewings and high acoustic diversity. Within the tribe, the genus Falcerminthus Robillard & Tan, 2021 is notable for its high species diversity in Southeast Asia, most of which were documented in the Philippines. Mindanao, the second-largest island in the Philippines, boasts high-ranged mountains that remain largely unexplored in terms of biological diversity. Despite research efforts on Ensifera, there remains a significant data deficit in Mindanao and the Philippines. To address existing gaps, extensive fieldwork was conducted in two key protected areas: Jose Rizal Memorial Protected Landscape (JRMPL) in Zamboanga del Norte on December 2023 and Allah Valley Protected Landscape in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato on January to February 2024. This study aimed to investigate and document significant findings on the Lebinthina of Mindanao. In this paper, a new species of Falcerminthus is described from Zamboanga del Norte in western Mindanao: Falcerminthus hispidus sp. nov. We also present a new locality record for Falcerminthus parvus (Baroga-Barbecho & Robillard, 2020) in the south of Mindanao, i.e., South Cotabato, Lake Sebu; and Lebinthus luae Robillard & Tan, 2013 in Mindanao.
