TECHNOLOGY, ETHICS, AND SUSTAINABILITY: ALIGNING AI INNOVATIONS WITH THE SDGS
Author : Intezar Mahdi
Abstract :The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (herein after used as AI) presents unknown opportunities to address global challenges outlined in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (herein after used as SDGs). still, the integration of AI inventions with sustainability objects raises critical ethical and governance issues. This research explores the crossroad of technology, ethics, and sustainability, examining how AI can be aligned with the SDGs while mollifying pitfalls such as bias, inequity, and environmental detriment. The study outlines key tactics for promoting responsible AI development, such as ethical design principles, stakeholder participation, and nonsupervisory oversight, through a routine assessment of case studies and policy fabrics. The results show how AI may both support and undermine sustainable development, highlighting the necessity of interdisciplinary cooperation to guarantee that technical advancements are in line with social, economic, and environmental goals. In order to leverage AI's potential while maintaining ethical standards and sustainability pledges, the report ends with recommendations for policymakers, technologists, and civil society.
