Author : SANI UMAR BAYAWA and Dr Nishi Fatma

Abstract :This study explores how impact of parental engagement and peer interactions influence the academic performance of nursery pupils. A descriptive survey design was adopted, collecting data from 150 respondents, including parents and teachers, using structured questionnaires and observational checklists. Descriptive statistics and multiple regression analyses were employed to examine the relationships between variables. Findings indicate that both parental engagement and peer interaction significantly contribute to pupils’ academic achievement, with parental engagement exerting a stronger influence. The study underscores the importance of active parental involvement and structured peer learning environments in early childhood education. Recommendations include enhancing parental participation in school activities and promoting collaborative peer interactions to support academic growth.
