Advancing Purpose-Based Educational Reform Globally: A Model for Transformational Policy Leadership

Abstract :This paper explores the transformative role of purpose-based education as a strategic lever for educational reform globally. Grounded in the experiential work of the MMA Foundation - an organization at the forefront of youth empowerment and purpose discovery - the paper critiques traditional curriculum structures that overlook personal identity, civic engagement, and socio-emotional growth. Drawing insights from leadership theories and educational policy gaps across African contexts, it proposes a Purpose-Driven Education Framework as an intervention for policy makers, school leaders, and government bodies to embed purpose into learning systems. This model prioritizes values, vision, and vocation as critical pillars for student success and national development.
