Improving The Reading And Reading Comprehension Skills Of Primary School Student Who Have Difficulties In Reading And Reading Comprehension

Abstract :The purpose of the research is to eliminate the reading and reading comprehension difficulties of a primary school student. For this purpose, the research was designed with action research. The research was carried out with a nine-year-old student. The student does not have any health or mental problems. She is not only successful in reading and reading comprehension tests. During the research process, various activities were used to develop the student. The process took 15 weeks, including pre-evaluation, interim evaluation, and final evaluation. Mistake Analysis Inventory and Reading Comprehension Test were used as data collection tools. Descriptive analysis was used to analyze the data. As a result of the research, it was determined that the student’s reading mistakes decreased and her reading comprehension skills improved. The research shows that with appropriate activities, students’ reading mistakes can be reduced and their reading comprehension skills can be improved
