Case Report Of Pseudopapillary Tumor Of Head Of Pancreas
Author : Dr.Yash Barot, Dr. Jignesh Shah
Abstract :A Pseudo-papillary tumor of the pancreas (also known as solid pseudopapillary neoplasm) is a rare, low-grade malignant pancreatic tumor that primarily affects young women. It constitutes less than 1% of all pancreatic neoplasms and most commonly presents in patients aged 20-30 years. Despite its malignant potential, the tumor generally has a favorable prognosis, particularly when detected early and treated surgically. The tumor’s rarity and indolent nature often pose diagnostic challenges, as it can present with nonspecific symptoms or be discovered incidentally during imaging for unrelated conditions.[1].
