AI ethics in Indian education : A Human-in-the-loop framework
Author : Juhi Rajhans
Abstract :Indian digital education transformation has created black box AI systems compromising ethics, equity and transparency; affecting marginalised learning and teaching communities. This work develops a human-in-the-loop framework to enhance AI explainability enabling equitable access in educational contexts. Our framework indicates that while Tier-1 cities can assimilate standardised AI tools, Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities require customised SLMs with intuitive embedding channels for student-teacher interaction. This work f loats strategies for developing culturally sensitive localised AI solutions to leave a tangible impact on formal Indian K-12 education.
Keywords :Explainable AI, digital governance, human-in-the-loop, educational equity, Indian ecosystem.
