Abstract :Background: Mongolia has been severely affected by climate change in recent years, and as a result, the frequency and intensity of natural disasters have increased. This is increasing the negative impact on the environment. The health of pastoral animals and livestock is directly and indirectly affected by negative environmental impacts. Therefore, it is important to focus research on overcoming the new conditions of climate change, increasing adaptive capacity, reducing livestock diseases and mortality, and sustainably increasing productivity. The health status of grazing animals is an indicator of ecosystem change. The causes of the diseases differ among the diseases. It is important to make diagnosis of the illness to prevent the diseases occurring in the pasture field. Medical information on the livestock animals from the point of veterinary science will be useful to minimize mortality of livestock animals affected by adverse environmental factors. In recent years, there has been an increasing trend of animal diseases and mortality due to environmental and climate change in Mongolia, as well as the emergence of diseases of unknown causes. To reduce the risk factors arising from climate and ecological change, Mongolia needs to improve cooperation, research, and analysis between human, veterinary, and environmental sciences
