A Review of Modified Just-In-Time Production Systems

Abstract :We present the results of comparing the results of simulation studies of two modifications of the Just In-Time production system with the conventional JIT system. Measures of performance are customer wait-time, input inventory, output inventory, and total inventory of the systems for one, two, and three kanban systems. Statistical analysis of the data showed that the modified JIT systems outperformed the conventional JIT system in all measures of performance
