Orders Forecast in Feed Production

Abstract :Feed is essential for all animal husbandry industries. The feed mill that produces the feed serves as a powerhouse for such industries by maintaining continuous feed delivery for all flocks according to their feeding plan. The feed formula for production has different characteristics, some static such as animal type and age, and some dynamic such as specific medicine that should be added. The weight of such feed production and delivery can reach a few tons while the storage capacity of the feed mill and of the farmers’ silos is limited. Therefore, preparing and executing a production plan to manage the business process of the feed mill is challenging. Further, when a farmer fails to place a feed order on time, and places it at the last minute, the production plan must be altered immediately otherwise selected animals will be left without feed. We are presenting an orders forecast designed as an operation room screen for the orders department. Three types of notifications were studied, and a visual representation enables monitoring different feed formulas along the flock lifecycle.
