Abstract :In today’s rapidly evolving society, traditional teaching methodologies grounded in active experiential learning are gaining increasing relevance. In response to this shift, approaches like Challenge-Based Education (CBE) offer a multidisciplinary and innovative framework. However, for these methodologies to be effectively implemented across higher education institutions, appropriate support is essential. This study aims to analyze the support provided by the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) for CBE projects within its context. For that purpose, a quantitative methodology was employed, surveying 46 faculty members involved in CBE projects through an online questionnaire. The findings reveal that various forms of support are offered by the UPV/EHU, including financial aid for 40% of the CBE projects, with the majority of this support coming from the development unit. However, 73% of faculty members engaged in CBE reported not receiving training in this methodology. In conclusion, while financial support is significant, there is a clear need for increased training opportunities for faculty members.
